How are projects selected for publication?

The short answer

On design quality, clarity of documentation, relevance to the audience and whether the submission is complete and rights-cleared.

Editors look for a resolved project with a legible idea, good photography and drawings that explain the design. Completeness matters: missing credits, permissions or image quality usually ends the review.

Relevance to the audience is the second filter — a project type, region or material story the readers are actively working with. Publication is curated, not guaranteed by submission.
